On the surface, NetDropShipper.com appeared to be a great service with free membership and the availability of bulk discounts. However, our attitudes changed after digging deeper and experiencing their services for ourselves.

Unique Products - 10,000

The number of available products advertised on their site is 10,000. While this may seem like a small number, their products are focused mainly in the consumer-electronics category. Because of the limited focus, one would expect a lower number of unique items. They also managed to throw a few unusual categories into the mix, such as golf, perfumes, poker supplies, and baby cribs.

Product Pricing

Product pricing is about a little better than average. As is always the case with dropshippers, you’ll need to do your research. If you do, you’ll find plenty that will sell well and probably even more that won’t. Be sure to check out the refurbs as they can often allow you to compete in ways you otherwise wouldn’t be able to compete.

Dedicated Support - No

There is a live support feature on their site which should allow you to chat live with a support representative, but it was offline whenever we checked it, even during business hours. Phone support is not provided.

Email support is offered through an easily accessible web form. Though they claim to respond to emails in 24 hours or less, our experience showed that it can take up to three days, and discussions from other members seemed to confirm this fact.

The FAQ section is short and could use a lot more material and information.

Usability

Overall, navigation and ordering were quite intuitive and simple. Because their service is comprised only of providing products, there isn’t much for them to get wrong. Focusing just on this one service limits their value but also keeps things simple and easy-to-use for their members.

However, they do not have any indication of inventory levels, nor do they remove products from their catalog that are unavailable. This has resulted in many complaints regarding the non-shipment of orders because the item is out of stock.

Online Ordering - Yes

Online ordering seemed to be simple and is a smooth process. A transaction history is available which shows transaction details, including tracking information on shipped orders.

BBB Member - No (F)

NetDropShipper.com is not a member of the BBB. The LABBB also reports a company rating of “F”. F rating is defined as:

We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.

Additionally, the BBB had the following statement in their report:

Complainants allege, delays in delivery, non delivery of ordered products, and inability to reach the company to inquire on the status of refunds, deliveries, or exchanges. In some cases, when customers request refunds due to non-delivery, the company claims they can find no record of the transaction , and ask for proof of purchase.

Other customers allege they received used or defective products and the company does not clearly indicate which products are refurbished or factory reconditioned.

Research Tools / Tutorials Offered - No

We couldn’t find anything on their site to help you know what to sell or where to sell it.

Instant Access - Yes/No

You will receive a username and password immediately after signing up and will be able to begin placing orders for drop shipment immediately.

However, before you are allowed to dropship any orders (that is, send an order anywhere other than to yourself), you must fill out a credit card authorization form stating you give NetDropShipper.com permission to charge your credit card for orders sent to locations other than your billing address.

I couldn’t find this requirement stated anywhere on their site (though a link to the authorization form was provided with no explanation as to what it was for) until you actually attempt to have an order dropshipped. This can result in obvious frustrations.

Integrated eCommerce Website - No

Although they advertised an integrated store solution on their website, their solution appeared to be identical to the eCommerce solution offered by Drop Ship Design. This leads us to believe that Net Drop Shipper is simply using a private labeled version of DropshipDesign.com’s cookie-cutter website solution.

The product categories for the NetDropShipper.com’s eCommerce solution did not match up with the product categories on the NetDropShipper.com website, which indicates that NetDropShipper.com is not integrated with any eCommerce solution but rather is reselling or promoting the solution used by DropshipDesign.

Accepts PayPal - No

PayPal is not accepted for product orders.

Public Opinion

Though NetDropShipper.com claims their number one priority is customer satisfaction, there were definitely plenty of complaints from members in various forums around the internet. Most of the complaints seemed to revolve around billing and a lack of concerned customer support.

But perhaps the place NetDropShipper.com takes the biggest hit is with the Better Business Bureau where the Los Angeles office has issued them an overall grade of “F”. This rating is arrived at through a composite score grading factors such as a company’s type of business, length of time in business, compliance with competency licensing requirements, complaint volume, complaint history, seriousness of complaints, how the company responds to complaints, and the BBB’s experience with the company’s industry in general.

BBB complaints appeared to revolve mainly around delays in delivery, non delivery of ordered products, and an inability to reach the company to inquire on the status of refunds, deliveries, or exchanges.

The lack of members coming to NetDropShipper.com’s defense also hurt their rating in this category.

We couldn’t find an “established” date on their site so we went off the date their site was registered: October 17, 2004.
