MegaGoods.com has a good, straightforward service with few frills or extras. Unlike some of the other dropship services in our review, MegaGoods appears to carry and manage their own inventory rather than working with other suppliers. They offer a solid overall package.
Unique Products - 1,600
This number varies somewhat from week to week as inventory fluctuates, but you’ll generally see somewhere around 1600 products. They also have a good selection of refurbished items (about 20% of the total). Make sure you check for the (R) next to the model number so you’ll know if you’re looking at a refurbished model or not.
Product Pricing
Product pricing is about average. As is always the case with dropshippers, you’ll need to do your research. If you do, you’ll find plenty that will sell well and probably plenty that won’t. Be sure to check out the refurbished goods as they can often allow you to compete in ways you otherwise wouldn’t be able to compete.

Fees / Trials Offered
MegaGoods.com offers free trials as a special promotion from time to time. When we signed up, the trial duration was 30 days.
After your trial expires, the monthly fee is $14.99.
Dedicated Support - Yes
MegaGoods displays their phone number prominently in the top corner of their website and when we’ve called, they pick-up after reasonable hold times and have been able to answer our questions quickly and politely.
They also offer email support and respond to emails within 2 business days.
Usability
Because MegaGoods offers few add on services, their site is very simple and straightforward. Placing orders follows a standard shopping cart checkout process. They provide a useful “My Orders” page to track and manage orders you’ve placed and let you sort them by any one of seven order statuses.
Browsing products is also pretty standard, but for categories with multiple pages of results, I found myself wishing that I could choose to display more results per page. Also, it would have been nice if there were an easier way to get a shipping cost or at least an estimate before getting to the third step of the checkout process. Estimated shipping costs can make product research much more effective and are also very useful when selling through online auctions.
Another usability issue was the authorization form that must be filled out and mailed back along with a copy front/back of your credit card before any of your orders can be placed. We understand that dropshipping puts the supplier at risk, but if you’re going to require authorization forms before shipping anything, why not make it part of the sign-up process rather than waiting for me to place an order or stumble across the link that explains it must be done. After all, people are signing up to have products dropshipped—make sure that when they’re done with the sign-up process, they can.
The last issue was only a minor annoyance, but still a bit of a design oversight. When you sign up, an additional navigation bar appears with more member oriented links (great!), but the old bar also stays in place. This wouldn’t be so bad, but by clicking most of the links on the old bar, you’re taken back to a non-member portion of the site, lose your member navigation bar and either have to click the back button until it comes back or re-log in to the site. Just keep me logged in or get rid of links that don’t apply to logged in members anymore. It would be much easier.

Online ordering is quick and easy. Multiple order statuses help you know what is happening with your order.

We couldn't find anything on their site to help us know what to sell or where to sell it.
Instant Access - Yes/No
You get a username and password immediately after signing up. You can log in to your account, browse products, and check out wholesale prices; however, as described in the Usability section, you must fill out and mail in a credit card authorization form before they will ship any of your orders. You must also do it for each credit card you use if you ever decide to switch cards.
Integrated eCommerce Website - Yes
There are no links to an integrated eCommerce website solution on the Megagoods site, but they do have a solution. It is called Get eStore (www.getestore.com), and it offers a website pre-filled with products and some tools for listing on eBay. We have not tried the GeteStore solution and cannot provide a critique of it at this time.
Accepts PayPal - No
MegaGoods doesn’t accept PayPal payment for product orders or membership fees.
Public Opinion
There was a lot out there about MegaGoods; some positive, much negative. As with most of the dropship companies in our review, there were many complaints about product pricing that were given less credence. However, there were also other complaints about items not shipping in a timely fashion or arriving broken and being difficult to get returned.
In Business Since - 1999
Their About Us page says that MegaGoods has been in business since 1999, but the domain megagoods.com was registered on February 10, 2004, so either the business model was different previous to that, or the company operated under a different name.
